On July 8th, each unit of the HiB production line with an annual output of 160,000 tons of low-temperature high-magnetic induction silicon steel (HiB) successfully completed the installation and commissioning and officially started commercial production.


The production line of the high-end cold-rolled oriented silicon steel project is positioned as an internationally advanced production line. The rolling mill is a split mill jointly developed by Japan's Prime, Mitsubishi and Hitachi; the decarburization, nitriding, magnesium oxide coating annealing line and the hot-stretching leveling line The design and key equipment are produced by many foreign companies, mainly French DMS. Since September last year, the No. 3 and No. 4 rolling mills have entered the stage of installation and commissioning.


TYGT has a long history of developing electrical steel and has a deep technical accumulation. In 1954, New China's first hot-rolled silicon steel sheet was born in TYGT. In the 1990s, TYGT accelerated the development of cold-rolled silicon steel. The cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel production line independently designed and developed was completed and put into operation in 1998. After that, the production capacity was increased to 350,000 tons through technological transformation. In 2014, the TYGT silicon steel cold tandem rolling production line was completed and put into operation, adding 1 million tons of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel production capacity, and has become an important production base of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel in China. Cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel series products featuring excellent performance and high dimensional accuracy.


High-end cold-rolled oriented silicon steel is known as the "artwork" in the iron and steel industry. It has a long production process, complex process, strict manufacturing technology, and high added value. It is mainly used to make transformers and large generator cores.
