Henkel plans to launch a series of light-curing resins for SLA and DLP 3D printing, increasing its portfolio of light-curing acrylics, silicones, epoxy resins and polyurethane adhesives. Using these materials in "now impossible areas" includes making functional prototypes and standard additive manufacturing products.
The conference building during the EU Presidency in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where the stylish blue exterior uses Henkel's 3D printed materials. Henkel has certain advantages in developing light-curable 3D printing materials in these fields, and hopes to strive to commercialize the first of these materials by 2017.
In addition to developing new materials for photosensitive 3D printing processes, Henkel also plans to continue to develop and produce hot-melt adhesive materials, and develop powders and consumables for SLS / FFF 3D printing equipment.
