It is required that there is no welding seam on its perimeter of nearly 50 meters, and it is integrally manufactured and formed.
In addition, to make the forging ring, a ring-shaped metal blank weighing 150 tons and an outer diameter of only 7 meters is required to be rapidly rolled and stretched to 16 meters within 30 minutes, and no large ovality can occur. Due to the high thermal strength and deformation resistance of the austenitic stainless steel used in the components, the engineering challenges are enormous and represent the highest manufacturing difficulty for ring forgings.
Due to the special material, according to the traditional technology, it is difficult to cast a steel ingot base material with sufficient weight and purity requirements, and it is impossible to achieve "large to small".
