Recently, the ROHM Group officially announced that it will invest tens of millions of euros to expand its Shanghai factory to expand its PMMA (polymethacrylate) molding compound products under the PLEXIGLAS® trademark (the product's trademark in the Americas is ACRYLITE®) capacity. The expanded molding compound plant is expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2023.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that ROHM ® has announced an expansion of production capacity this year. In November of this year, ROHM also announced the expansion of its PMMA molding compound plant in Worms, Germany, which produces PLEXIGLAS® products.
