The successful research and development of this steel has expanded the company's stainless steel high value-added products and broke the monopoly of foreign steel mills.

Stainless steel for mobile phone LOGO is one of the steel types produced in small batches, and the profit per ton of steel is much higher than that of ordinary stainless steel. Because of its strict requirements on the surface quality of the product and the difficulty of production, the LOGO of domestic well-known mobile phones is generally processed by imported stainless steel.
"Molten steel must have high purity and plasticization of inclusions. This is contradictory in terms of smelting process control. It is impossible to have both fish and bear's paws. How to meet the requirements of both steel for mobile phone LOGO and technology? The control is extremely difficult.” said Chen Xingrun, a technical engineer from JGJT.
In order to obtain good surface quality and mechanical properties of the product, the company's R&D personnel conducted an in-depth analysis of the inclusions and other characteristics of the LOGO material samples of well-known foreign mobile phone companies. After consulting a large number of international academic journals, they proposed laboratory research methods. In the first half of this year, the project team focused on tackling key problems. Through thermodynamic theoretical analysis and a large number of laboratory slag-steel balance experiments, the key points of smelting 304 stainless steel for mobile phone LOGO were determined, and a new smelting process was specially developed to make silicate and spherical oxidation. The inclusions are all up to level 0.5, and all are less than level 1.0, reaching the control level of imported stainless steel material inclusions. Currently, this process control technology has applied for 2 national invention patents.
"The mobile phone LOGO produced by the new technology is made of stainless steel. The customer succeeded in the first trial processing, and the qualified rate reached the level of imported products.
