On May 20, 2020, HKTM invested 3 billion yuan in a new production base, which mainly produces 3D curved glass cover plates and UTG (ultra-thin flexible glass) products.
In June 2021, the 3D glass cover production line in the newly-built production base officially started commercial production.
Curved glass cover products include 3D curved glass, 3.5D curved glass, 4D curved glass, and the development of industry-leading U-shaped product hot bending, polishing, and bonding technology. UTG (ultra-thin flexible glass) project includes two major sections: UTG monomer and UTG coating.

“The second phase of the project covers an area of 138 acres and the investment amount is 1.8 billion yuan.” HKTM CEO Wei Diaowei said confidently: “At this time next year, the construction of the second phase of the plant will be basically completed, and there will be an update. The large production line fully reflects our capacity advantages and technical advantages." After the smooth operation of this production line, HKTM's influence in the flexible glass cover industry will further expand, and HKTM will become the most important flexible cover in China Industry concentration area.
"After the completion of the second phase expansion, the total production capacity of the project can reach 50 million pieces (sets) of 3D curved mobile phone covers per year, and it has the ability to accept orders for flagship products from super-large-scale brand manufacturers."
