Sigmatex develops new recycled carbon fiber reinforced resin-based composites

In the existing sigmaRF product series, Sigmatex has developed a new type of recycled carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin-based composites, which are mainly produced and sold for the automotive industry.

Sigmatex's sigmaRF series products use carbon fiber scrap to produce wrinkle-free carbon fiber fabrics to meet the technical requirements of the entire process.

At present, Sikma has developed similar "polyamide" materials. It is reported that the "polypropylene" product is a homogeneous mixture of recycled carbon fiber and thermoplastic polypropylene fiber. The content of carbon fiber and polypropylene fiber is 45% and 55%, respectively. Among them, 85% of the fibers can be aligned according to the design orientation, so their mechanical properties are stronger than other recycled materials.

sigmaRF products are suitable for the automotive industry, sports and leisure, energy and other applications using carbon fiber fabrics to produce products.
